Rescue and Fosters

I am temporarily fostering 3 tortoises from a cruelty confiscation. I believe they are all Russians, but I would like confirmation on that. Is there any possibility that one or more is a Hermann's or some other Testudo? I have them in with a Greek I rescued a year ago. I know interspecies enclosures aren't ideal, but neither was the setup at the rescue I got them from (and the rescue had to be better than the place they were confiscated from). Thanks in advance for the help.

Zach

Dear Zach, the 3 with the red numbers on carapace appear to be A. horsefieldi, "Russians". You indicate being aware that mixing species is problematic, try to get them separated, as Russians, especially ones from a poor husbandry situation are notorious for carrying disease, herpes, parasites etc., and no sense allowing that little Greek to have problems, exposures. Good luck, I hope the tortoises get a 2nd chance with you and a better life. Vic H.
