Has anyone ever tried african dwarf frogs from the fish aisle in your local petstore as prey for neonate ground boas? one of my new guys took a scented pinky. but the other is being stubborn.

I'VE NEVER TRIED THOSE FROGS....MOSTLY BECAUSE OF POSSIBLE PARASITES FOUND IN THE AQUARIUM THAT THEY MAY BE HOUSED IN...YOU DONT KNOW IF THE STOREKEEPER MAY BE USING CHEMICALS TO TREAT THE WATER FOR TROPICAL FISH DISEASES ETC ...I ONLY USE HYLA TREEFROG SPECIES....JC

THIS IS A BAD TIME FOR FROG COLLECTING...I BUY MY FROGS FROM PEOPLE IN CENTRAL FLORIDA....IT HASNT RAINED HERE IN MORE THAN 6 WEEKS....NO FROGS TO BE HAD....I HAVE ABOUT 25 OR SO LEFT OVER FROM OCTOBER BUT NEED THEM FOR MY CARINATA....I'LL BE FRANTIC IF MY BABY ISABELS ARE BORN SOON....I MAY HAVE OVER 50 OR 60 BABIES TO FEED....JC

wow. 50 or 60 babies! and only a few of them take pinks right away right? i saw cuban tree frogs for sale for 5 bucks each on the classifieds. if i keep trying scented pinks, will she eventually take it. or would they starve themselves?

THEY WILL STARVE TO DEATH IF YOU DONT FIND SOME TREEFROGS, ANOLES OR HOUSE GECKOS...DO NOT USE CUBANS....THEY ARE TOXIC....JC
