You know the old saying: "If you own herps it's not a matter of IF they escape, but WHEN." I've had this Giant Day Gecko male for more than three years and this is his third escape. Each recapture I just happened to see him perched loose in the house and got him.
He's in our basement up in the rafters. I was just wondering if anyone has ever devised some trick to recapture a particular herp. For example, should I leave a small quantity of peach baby food (he loves it) in the same place I saw him last w/hopes he determines that is a food spot? (And ambush him when he comes back for more!)
This is the largest, prettiest male I've ever seen; if I recapture will post pix. Any ideas would be appreciated.

I had a female who when I opened the tank lid one day to clean her she scooted out and up the wall in the reptile room. One difference I could usually see where she was, but what a little stinker, she was darn quick and enjoyed her new found freedom, lol.
