Simple Question,Did the calico morph only occure in female only?
In house cats, calico only occurs in females. In reptiles, calico can occur in either sex. There are something like half a dozen reptile species with calico morphs, and as far as I know, only a single mutant gene in each species is needed to produce a calico morph. In cats, calico is a combination effect from three mutant genes.
