odd air filled sack

fc3schick87 Jan 20, 2009 03:40 PM

so my frill started eating today and he also drank water for me. he started puffing up his frills a bit and spitup water. i believe its sbecause he ate 4 super worm and its the first solid food he's eaten in 5-6 days. hard bodied super worms prob wont agree with him well but it was all he would eat.

so after he threw up a bit i noticed his frill kinda sagging down so i took him out and looked at him. he has an air filled sack around his throat from his sholders to the front. it moves around and usualy is in the front but when i pressed on it it went to his back.
what could this be? its very odd...

Is the air sack still there. I tried doing some Internet searches to see if anyone has had a similar problem. I didnt have any luck. Is there a vet near you?

keep us posted

all the best

i dont think a vet would know about this on a frill dragon if it is indeed frill dragon specific. the air sack did go away. on repticzone.com some one explaned that their dragon does the same thing. and it goes away too. it is definantly not fluid but air.
i just dont have the money to spend on a vet visit if i wont get an answer.
