The plants will need some type of UV light to grow the tokays don't like light. So you will have to give them many dark places to hide plus all lights off at night. I like ceramic heaters for heat. I keep my ceramic heaters on all day and night in the winter for the tokays. I'm a beginner at the geckos but I think they are ok with most tropical plants. I would just say keep with a tropical theme. No cacti.

A lot of tropical plants are toxic to animals. You might want to do a search to make sure the plants your looking at are ok. They will do just fine in light, there is plenty of light in the wild. I see my basking under a 100w light all the time, where the hot spots about 100 degrees. They'll be just fine with UV for the plants, up till this year I kept live plants in mine and they didnt even notice because I ended up with 22 hatchlings.

Hey thank you blake. I only ask becouse i lost a pair a few years ago and this was my first try at live plants. After thinking it over I seem too remember using miricle grow and at the time thought this was the couse. I forgot too mention this but bolth geckos died within a week of being added too this set up. I've read about plants and food items takeing down certian animals and was wondering if some of the vivarrium buffs could shed some light on this. And no I wont be using any moor fertilizers. But thank you for getting back to me.As far as the new cage goes I'm still thinking 72'x36'x24' with false bottom and big structures . can lights in the top round screen vents high sides and live moss and plants. the inside will be done in tempered glass and the out in mellamine. heat and hemidity are a concerne in wyoming so these will be bilt to comp...

Make sure the soil you use has NO chems or ferts at all. Some safe plants would be Pothos, spider plants, snake plant(or mother in laws tounge), ficus, hibiscus... That's all I can think of off the top of my head.
