Stressed sand boas .

a_chen_tw Jan 28, 2009 12:19 PM

All you pro guys know sand boas are always hiding in the bottom of the cage under substrate . Every time while I fed my sand boas I have to grabbed them up to the surface of the substrate and they were always very stressed and refused fed even looks quite defensed. Do you have any good ideas to feed the sand boas F/T mice without any stress ? They are always stay in the bottom and I really don't know how to attract them up to take the F/T mice .

thanks.

You might have better luck on the sand boa forum
I've had sand boas for a month and they have substrate piled on one side and a hide/water dish on the other side. They're usually under the hide, so I just put their mouse right outside of it and they strike from their hides. So, maybe try a hidey-place? Mine are very low so that the top of their backs touch it and they seem to like that.
