I have had a female mali for over two years. She is about 10 inches in length. I am wanting to know if I could introduce a male of the same size in a 36x18 tank.

No ... Uro's are solitary animals and definately NOT in that size tank. You will need a complete 2nd set up for the 2nd Uro. Also, you are going to need a larger tank too .. 48"x24"x24 is the minimum for ONE Uromastyx, no matter what size they are.
I agree that the cage dimensions are less than adequate but to suggest that Uros can not be paired is ludicrous. What experiences of yours support that idea?
Definately not - the tank size you describe is not adequate for one adult uro, definately not two.

It was not suggested that they couldn't be paired. It was mentioned that there should be a second enclosure. Obviously all new Uro's should be quarantined for some time, as well as taking time to introduce 2 animals. If excessive aggression is seen, they will not be able to be paired together and will need to be separated into separate enclosures, as mentioned.
Thanks for the info I am new to the forum and am finding a ton of good information. I have had my mali for over two years and would like a second. I do think it is time for a larger tank and it looks like two set-ups might be best. I appreciate the posts thanks again.
