Had some breeding last night...

Ghireptiles Feb 02, 2009 03:07 PM

I was checking in on the animals late last night and caught these two breeding. This morning it was all over so pics next time for sure. It was the first copulation I have seen with these two and they both actually shed the night before last so the timing was perfect. Here's hoping for some bright babies!

Matt, they are gorgeous, but not as insane as that pick of the litter tiger you have for sale in the Kingsnake classifieds....
good luck with the breeding....Oh, BTW, do you leave them together for the whole season or just for on and off for several days at a time?
Thanks, Norm

Hey Norm,

The breeding season just started here for me a few weeks ago. My pairings usually start in late January and go well into the late spring. I will leave the males in for about 4 or 5 days then separate them from the females. They get fed and then about 4 days later I introduce them again. I feel that keeping up a regular feeding schedule during the breeding season is a huge factor in the way these guys keep up their breeding efforts.

I just fed the female last night as she looked ravenous from the scent of the rats in the room for the other atb's, so she will have a few days off and then they will be reintroduced again.

Still like those Ap cages. I am not sure if I ever saw a price for those.
