plants for my grey's tank

faerie822 Feb 07, 2009 04:43 PM

i bought this with the intention of possibly putting it in my grey's tank, unfortunately i can't find any kind of identification for it. the tag it came with had nothing about it but the company name ("exotic angel",) but none of the other plants i found had anything either. i liked it anyway & won't mind if i can't actually use it, but i was hoping someone could identify it & tell me if it's ok to use. anything you can tell me would be great. i'm trying to work on my humidity problem in the tank. i have to spray it several times a day to keep it where it's supposed to be, & frankly it's not very sustainable when i'm at work. working on a pump/fountain fixture as well, but that's still in the works.

I forget the name of this plant, but it will do fine in your viv. They do well in moderate to high light, keep the soil moist most of the time but let it dry out for 1-2 days inbetween waterings. Also, I would not replant it into sphagnum or viv substrate unless its dirt, because I've found it grows best in strait up dirt.

thanks for the help. i ended up buying a jungle drum instead because its got better leaves for her to sit on. i think if she tried to climb on this thing she would just fall right out of it. working on a place to put it just for decoration instead, its still pretty.

thanks again.
