community tanks?

gatorsnap5 Feb 08, 2009 04:27 AM

i was just wondering if any of you guys on here keep their alligator snappers together in one tank? i have three of them that i have kept together since they were a little bigger than a quarter and they are now all three over five inches SCL without a single problem they are JUST now starting to show signs of aggression when i pull them out of their tank so i was wondering if anybody had sucessfully kept alligator snappers together after they had reached juvenile or sub adult levels. thanks in advance

Personally, I have never had more than one AST, but I used to keep my Florida snapper with my AST, and I was forced to separate them when the the FL got to be around 6 inches. It was bullying the AST around the tank, but I never witnessed either biting the other.
