Thermostat questions

Im getting a pro heat pad for the temp in my neo's tub and was wondering what u guys/gals thought of this thermostat. the BAH-1000sc its 39.99 plus s&h and all the other thermo's are 100-150$ not including s&h and im not looking to spend that much right now if u guy's know of another one thats in that range that u think would be better plz let me know

Well I'm not praising the BAH-1100's but its the same one that I used when I first got my Chondro 5 years ago. They will do the job but look to invest in a proportional thermo as soon as you can. From what I'm told though is the zoo-med ones seem to have a better reputation for not flaking out.

Try Johnson Controls Thermostat. It's non-proportional, can take up to 500 watts and is very reliable.

I use herpstat, helix, and johnson's control, i love all three. However, the last time i spoke to Bob from pro-products he said he prefers the non-proportional stats such as ranco & johnson's, over the pulse proportional, he didnt get into too much detail on the subject, I just wanted to add that, seeing as how he is highly regarded in the reptile heating business!
