Time Between Mating and Egg Laying for..

Chris_McMartin Feb 13, 2009 09:01 PM

Coleonyx brevis. Are we talking a couple of weeks? I THINK mine mated about a week ago and I want to know how long I have to get a nesting box into the enclosure.

Wouldn't you know it, I found eggs in my OTHER pair's enclosure (already too far gone by the time I discovered them) the day after posting. I guess both pairs have been getting busy lately. How long between clutches?

What do you use for nesting material? I have some bowls of damp sand in there right now until I come up with something better.

The female in question has been noticeably gravid for several days now (eggs visible in the abdomen) and is digging exploratory nest sites tonight.
