This is Moose, my 19yr old green iguana. I got him from a pet store when I was in 8th grade in 1991 as a yearling. I now have a wife, a mortgage, and a baby on the way....and Moose is still around !

Thanks for looking!

WOW! This is a rare thing to see!!! It is great to know that there are owners who stick with their pets throughout their lives. Looks very healthy...maybe another 19 years!
Damn!!thats badass.they can get that old with the proper care n all.Good [bleep] bro!
Hay thats grate! I have a 20 yr.captive born from the Father I raised for 25 yrs.The oldest Green Iguana "on record" was 27 yrs.The Mother of the 20 yr.old lived to be 23 yrs. I'm a tortoise breeder now, but will always have a Green Iguana around.Maybe I'll go ALBINO next time if he doesnt outlive me!Vic Morgan.
Thanks for looking everyone!
I was hoping someone would chime in with a few other longer lifespans. When I purchased him, it was widely accepted that these guys lived 8-12years.
It's good to see some other older green iguanas out there.
Post some pics !
