I have had my surinam toad, Dio, for about 3 weeks and I love him! Everything that i have researched about them says that they are agressive eaters. When i first got him, he ate 6 goldfish at once and now it's like he'll only eat one at a time. Is there anything wrong with him or am I just paranoid? He also has those floating love handles.

For starters, goldfish are one the absolute worst feeders you can offer them. Pure garbage, no nutritional value, and can offer a huge parasite load. I would offer him some nightcrawlers, krill, etc and see his reaction. What are the temps and set up like? Can you post pics please?

He wont eat nightcrawlers. The pet store had him for 2 1/2 years and thats the only thing that they fed him, maybe that's why he wont eat the worms. He's in a 20L gallon with plants the temp is at 80-81F. I do think i'm having algae problems also, could that be messing him up?
