spearpoints breeding

JFM Mar 01, 2009 08:12 PM

I have a trio of spearpoints that is showing some breeding activity. Has anyone here had experience with hatching and getting the little guys eating. I know most people use fruit flys for them.

Also,
I am surprised by how little activity this forum has. I keep many different kinds of herps, but my uroplatus are the most fun by far.

Thanks

Sorry I do no have spearpoints so can't help, someone else may jump in. As far as this forum, I agree, it used to ROCK. We ahd so many people and they were so knowledgable, we all had so many different COOL geckos, we shared pics, info , it was a GOOD run for a few years, then thigns changed , people left, and here we are. But heck a couple people talkin geckos is a GOOD thing

I think I will post some pics of my henkeli this week.

Glad your here!

i hear ya. i just made my triumphant return to the world of uroplatus over the weekend by getting a pair of sameiti. it was hard getting them over phantasticus, but in the position i have been working, i'm not confident i can get the supplies i need for phantasticus.

i am happy nevertheless. you should work on getting a female henk so i can look forward to offspring!

And Welcome back to the land of leaftails A pair of Mossys, they are very cool loooking, Im sure you will do awesome with them as you always did with the others.

I bet you do miss the lil satanics I think yours were superb. I am thrilled that you have gotten your feet wet again ( so to speak) Need I ask for pics??? LOL

I have not gotten a female henk because I have so many other lizards, and right now is breeding season for many of mine collareds especially, take much time, lighting, money/ insects.
But they are so gorgeous.

well, here they are, but I can only provide a link since it's been so long and I forgot exactly which format KS requires to post a photo.

Ahhhh...those frogs aren't technically mine. I've been working for the SC Dept. of Natural Resources as a herp research tech for the past 2 years in an awesome area. The frogs are all wild, as are all the snakes. All my collection consists of these days is a pair of pine snakes, a salt marsh mangrove snake, and this pair of mossies. There's a dog somewhere in there, too.
