I need help...

zachsreptiles95 Mar 03, 2009 10:16 PM

Hey everyone. I have a male desert iguana that just came out of brumation a feww weeks ago. I've tried feeding him romaine lettuce and romaine lettuce with prickly-pear jelly. He doesn't seem to eat either. Does anyone know what else he will eat? Any information is appreciated.

Hi, romaine alone is not really that nutritious, my guy loves chopped: kale , collared greens, boychoy, endive, red curley lettices, loves dandilion greens, most real green leafy things, and LOVES dandilion flowers, clover, rose pedals pansies, hybiscus, loves shredded carrot, squashes , sweet potato shredded, "loves chunks of banana", many things, just try them.

Mine also will eat a few superworms after the salad. But the salad is most important everyday or atleast every other.

If you can get some dandilion flowers if you live where there already out he will grab them Let us know.
