i have a adult female cb gtp. she stopped eating about 3 months ago. i thought she was going to shed but didnt until about 2 months past. her shed was one hugh piece like normal. now a month has gone buy since shed and still no eating. im concerned cause shes loosing weight now and i dont like it. she was 1250 grams and down to 1100 now. she drinks and everything the same including her nasty temper. she has always ate live food she follows it all over even bumps it with her head but no strikes. any help would be great. all my other condros are doing fine. and ive never tried to breed her either

How sure are you that it is a female?

pretty sure

It is common for males to go off feed so I would first verify the sex by probing. I would also recommend a fecal be done due to the loss of weight.

Good luck,

yeah i understand. i have 4 males that go off feed and this female that i never had a problem with. i had a test done almost 5 years ago when i got her and it was good. ive had it probed twice and both people said female. thank you for your replys

Another fecal would be a good idea. Its possible to get parasites from prey, to harbor them without symptoms and for a single test to miss some of the more difficult to notice bugs. Its an inexpensive test and an easy remedy if there's something in there. That's a lot of weight to lose in 3 months, a fecal or two would be my first course of action. I'd also palpate her for growths/tumors.
