Pics and New Additions

I was inspired by the recent pictures posted to put up a few of my own.
A shot of Oliver, growing strong but no longer the friendly lizard he was. In a weeks time he developed an attitude for some reason, no worries though, he is still a wicked cool lizard.
A young female granite from Nick and Austin, eventually will be bred with Oliver.
Also, the redback male that I acquired turned out to be a great help. A friend of mine had a pair of redbacks come out of cooling and he lost the male, so he gave me the female with the hopes that she will produce. She is a small chuck, but is more than old enough to produce.
The same friend was kind enough to give me a male Granite. This guy looks real nice, he is dark in the pictures, but believe me, he is super contrasty during the day.

Phil, they all look fabulous! I see that your male is outgrowing the female just like mine. I guess thats normal? My male is still very friendly, but the female has always been a little doll! I wonder if these added males have made your Oliver nervous? He sure is a looker! Mine is light like that, but is about to shed.

I love those redbacks, too!

Thanks very much!

Acutally, Oliver and the small female granite are not the same age, the little girl is from Nick and Austin's last clutch of the season or so.

Thanks for the compliments, it will be interesting to see how the big granite boys turn out.

Phil

Oh, sorry! Mine are clutch mates.

I hope Oliver gets over whatever is bugging him and gets back to his sweet self soon. Sweet chucks are such a joy! But the cranky ones are lovable, too.

Yeah me too. Nick mentioned to me that a number of his males go that route. They are cool for a while then at maturity or so get a chip on their shoulder. I hope he mellows out, though he does look really funny when he is running at my hand open mouthed haha

How old is he? Mine is 7 months and in the last few days, I have seen him "trying it on" with the adult male! LOL! That adult just puts up with it. He just seems to love being with those kids.

Oliver is 7 or 8 months too, I think he and yours might be clutch mates.

Thats funny he was trying to make it already. I think Oliver would if he was housed with other chucks, but mine are housed alone aside from babies and the red backs.

Nice pics, Phil.
I like how Oliver is turning out. Nice and light. It should be interesting to see how the other young male granite turns out. I'm glad you guys worked something out, and you ended up with the redback girl and w.c granite male. Hopefully the redbacks produce for you this season. The female looks nice and chubby.

Take care.
Nick & Austin

Great photos! I love the close ups. I would love to have a pair of red backs in the future.
