can anyone tell me what PH the water is supposed to be for sliders, I can't find it anywhere. I also have an african sideneck, if anyone knows the PH for them as well. thanks.

For res's, don't worry too much, unless you live in a toxic area. The best PH, is to fill the water and let it sit for two days. Turtles aren't exactly like fish although I don't know about sidenecks. Map turtles need really fresh water, res's need sluggish water. Best bet is to put fish in there with them(providing your tank's big enought,) and then put the turtles in. But water is important. I've seen turtles in FL, USA with leg deformaties.
Animals suffer more from environmental pollution.
