I believe this is the same snake I found almost 3 years ago as it was in the same place under the same piece of metal. They're fun to find.

Reako thats a great looking Nasty thanks for posting, Where are you at in California?
I'm in Chatswort, CA in the San Fernando Valley. These snakes can be quite abundant here. I've found as mny as 3 in one day, all within a short distance of each other. This is the second one of these I've seen this year. You're up in Oregon, right? Do you have them up there?

Oregon and Washington both have striped whip snakes but finding them is hard. I have found 2 in Oregon and "maybe" one in Washington but didn't get my hands on it to be a full voucher, It was way to fast to be a Garter and a little to big to be a racer, if I had a better look at it I would have been sure.
