Mantellas with carnivorous plants?

phiber_optikx Mar 30, 2009 01:03 AM

I am planning on setting up a 10-20L terrarium. I am planning on basing it around carnivorous plants. Should a manyella or two be alright or would they meet an inevitable doom? Planning on flytraps and trumets.

Carniverous plants require, for the most part, acidic soil and this is not something you can easily provide in a vivarium without harming the frogs.

Mantella habitat does not have an abundance of carniverous plants, so there is no reason to have these plants in their tank.

What kind of mantellas did you get?
