Green toads

crazycodykadunk Apr 03, 2009 08:23 PM

I have a group of Bufo viridis and I was going to build them an out door enclosure and was wondering if they could survive the winter? I live in new jersey and this winter was kinda crazy getting down around 20 degrees and had a couple feet of snow.

depends really where your green toads originate from. the range is from southern Denmark to the mediterranean and east. Any oudoor enclosure for any amphibian would have to have frost proof areas- not easy to create artificially. Do you have a frost free garage or shed whe you could overwinter them?
