Mixing Species?

xamorex Apr 04, 2009 09:43 PM

I've always read that its never good to mix species but in the june 2009 reptiles magazine an author promotes it. In the article entitled create an arboreal boa vivarium he says that red eye tree frogs and day geckos can safely live in the same vivarium as the boa. I believe he says when the snake is of appropriate size. Wouldnt both a large and young snake eat the frogs and geckos? In addition ive also read that red eyes have sensitive skin. I know what the response back will be but we always keep asking it.

You are correct in your suspicions.

Mixing species is never a good idea, for more information on this refer to amphibiancare.com/frogs/articles/communitytank.html.
