wayne13114 Apr 06, 2009 06:28 PM

I'm getting ready to buy a new NA woodie and would just like to see some pics of what people have. setup's, turtles, anything to do with woodies. I had a group of 3 and my wifes dog got 2 of them about a year ago. after scrimping and saving i'm ready to get 1 more, and hopefully another in the near future. cages have noe got chicken wire and 2x4 constructed lids.

Wayne,
Attached is a picture of my Wood Turtle habitat that is suitable for 2-3 adolescents. Wood turtles are a semi-aquatic species that spend a significant amount of time in a terrestrial environment as well as an aquatic one. Your habitat should take this into account as well as be secure from predators including dogs.

That is far and away one of the, if not, the, nicest indoor water turtle enclosures I have ever seen. It's so custom. Did you make this or have it made? Very nice. I would love to see some more details of it. Wow.

Thanks for the kind words.

It seemed to be what they needed; a patch of dry soil, a bit of cool water and a small damp boggy area. Unfortunately, they'll soon outgrow it.

Total cost was about 450$. I posted a bunch of pictures and a description on the Turtle Times Forum (http://www.turtletimes.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=67485).

If you wind up breeding any of them, its a perfect rearing habitat. I wish I had it actually for babies and juvi's.
