Just last night I discovered my large male Grandis perched atop my 125 planted fish tank on the glass cover presumably getting warm. He had escaped Jan 11 and I had given up hope but he somehow managed to survive w/no food or water that I'm aware of.

He was somewhat emaciated but otherwise healthy. Fortunately, he was a bit on the fat side when he made his escape.

Thank you for those who later asked if I ever got him back.

I know the relief you feel now that he's safe and sound back in his own place, food, water, comfort, and a good Dad, hehehehe, he just did not know how good he had it. One thing to say, after mine made her first break, and was caught later, any chance she got to scram out, she usually DID, got to be a joke, I think she enjoyed the whole experience each time.
