Update on Tehya, and sad news

Rosebuds Apr 15, 2009 06:34 PM

We have one more dose of the antibiotic, then a recheck of her WBC count on Friday.

She is better just today. She still struggles to walk with her front legs, but one leg is moving almost normally and the other is moving better. There is no more exudate coming from her nose. She is still eating like a horse and is very perky and bright, as usual. So, I would say she is getting better and might even make a full recovery!

On another note, I lost my favorite rescue, Sparky, this past weekend. He was a Bearded Dragon that came in with more troubles that yall can imagine, but survived and we really bonded. We snuggled every day, and once we got him over the troubles, he lived a great life full of love for 1.5 years. The effects from the troubles finally caught up, and he passed away on Saturday. You can read about him here

He is missed and will never be forgotten.

I'm sorry that Sparky passed. I'm sure he was happy during his time with you and is grateful for all of the love and care you gave him.

Tehya sounds like a fighter and I'm glad she is doing better. I hope she has a full recovery soon.

May dear Sparky be finally at rest and in peace. He was lucky to have found you and I am sure he knew he was loved those last years of his life.

I am so glad to hear that little Tehya is rebounding. She's got grit! Hope the next vet visit shows a WBC that is normal! Maureen

Well that just is a darn shame about your Sparky, ohhhhhhh we have all gone through it so many times with our little favorites, it always feels sooooooo bad! But because of your help and love he did have an easy, and fullfilled lizardy life, for the remainder of his life, so thats a really GOOD thing

And as far as Tehya's improvements, well that's even a BETTER thing, so wonderful to hear.

Hope ya feel better soon, Sparkys in awesome hands, got lots of New dragon and other friends to romp with and is healed forevermore!
