Brown Water ?

DanW Apr 21, 2009 10:14 AM

I am reading the book on Water Snakes by Gibbons and Dorcas. It said that Brown Water Snakes are the most difficult of the water snakes to keep alive in captivity. It said that many do not eat and the ones that do usually don't survive more than a year. Some people have had some success with them.
Has anyone on here had success with Brown Waters? Did they eat well? Were there any difficulties? Brown Waters are one of my favorites although I have never had one.

Thanks,
Dan

No personal experience-but I have heard they are not difficult if you start with babies and raise them up in captivity....
