Does anyone have any tips on discouraging sulcatas from digging in certain places? I don't want to stop them from digging (as if that would be possible)just stop them from digging in certain areas and encourage them to dig in others. My current issue is that I live in Florida and the "soil" here is loose, dry sand and my sulcatas keep digging burrows that end up collapsing so I hope to get a large amount of top soil and clay to fill in part of their enclousre for them to dig in and want them to dig there and not the sand.

i give them a big box to hide in depending on size you can use a refriderator box or something like that and put a kane or likewise heat mat in there and they will go in there at night. i dont have any problems at all with them digging. essentually giving them an artificial burrow. they just want to feel enclosed. now you can get elaborate with your box and its not a bad idea because the fridge box wont last long with rain and everything else. use your imigination think winter as well and insulate it. you will be glad you did. i have seen some pretty cool ones made from dog houses and camper tops from pickups.
