African Traditional Blessing.

Paul Bodnar May 02, 2009 09:58 AM

Greetings All,

Picture is Dr. Zachee Denis Bitjaa Kody and Paul Bodnar accepting a Traditional African Blessing from the elder of the Bahanga tribe in the Southern Cameroon district, West Africa.

Not for the faint of heart, the blessing involves a tribal ceremony, eating ashes from the ancestors mixed with dirt from sacred ground.

This blessing means all of their ancestors "have your back" in life.

Truly,

Paul Bodnar

All your pics are fascinating and imformative. I also have noted that you have an anthropological interest as I do as well. This helps one understand the plethora of problems concerning wildlife and it is noteworthy that you understand this and appear to be involved on more than a superficial basis. Congradulations.....
