desert iguana help

mlove May 03, 2009 03:18 PM

I keep a few desert iguanas and although I have not witnessed mating behavior one of my females has gained quite a bit of weight recently. I don't see egg bulges and she is not digging any more than normal so I don't know if she is gravid. What type of lay box is needed for desert iguanas? Can I use a miniature version of the chuck lay box or would it be better to use rocks placed around damp sand with a rock on top like you would for collared lizards? Any help is appreciated.

We have always had better luck with nexting areas rather than nesting box. Probably more like how you would set up the collared nesting area.
