Pac Man changed color...

joescool121 May 07, 2009 05:29 PM

I bought a green pac man frog in december he was about the size of a half dollar, and when i bought him he was being housed in a container with spagnum moss. After I bought him I read that it was not good to keep him in the spagnum moss so I put in bed-a-beast which is a brown substrate. Since then he has grown to be much larger obvioulsy but my problem is now he is brown. Is this because he is changing to match his substrate or because he has just gotten older? Any information would be helpful thanks.

It is a cranwelli. They all change colors with age. Most of them change to a similar color scheme to what you might find in a dirty diaper.

This is one of the reasons that ornates are preferred over cranwelli.
