Tehya comin' back! With pics

Rosebuds May 08, 2009 11:58 AM

I had Tehya out on my shoulder yesterday, working at my computer, and the next thing I knew, she had made a LEAP to the back of the chair and started making her way to the top! So, I figured it was a great opportunity to show yall how much better she is! We still don't know what happened or where the infection came from. She still has a partially frozen elbow joint where the infection settled, and will always have some range of motion issues with it, but as you can see in these picks, it does not slow her down a bit! I honestly didn't know that they could scale vertical surfaces like this!
Here she was going up. Her back is about to shed!

Going down

And here is my little Darlin', saying, "Mo-om! Enough with the dang camera already!" LOL! Can you tell which leg has the frozen joint? You can if you look really close, probably.

Yeah Tehya! Go girl go. I love the closeup and I'm so happy she is doing great.

Hooray for Tehya! And don't give up on that joint. Massages, warm soaks, extra calcium and D-3. I am so happy for you...and her!

She looks fine. As far as climbing , sometimes these guys climb low trees, I have had some in my reptile room and if out for some free time, they have gone right up no problem.

Could she have GOUT ?

Or at least I don't think gout causes the white blood cell count to rise. He said that the blood work showed some muscle deterioration, and that the joint looked like the infection settled in it. I can ask about gout, though.

The joint really gets better every day. The little sneak is so much better that she got out of her tank the other day! LOL! Fortunately she did not wander into the part of the house where the mites have been!

You would have to have him look into it more but it can cause enlarged and swollen/ stiff joints. It all has to do with kidneys and uric acid and so forth. Iggies get it all the time and they are veggie eaters.

Just a thought, especially since it is getting better.
