Corn Snake in wall cavity

starburst007 May 18, 2009 02:40 PM

I lost my corn about four months ago but gave up looking because i thought it has escaped out the house, but it was spotted yesterday in a 3 inch hole in the conservatry wall, i tried to entise it out with a thawed out mouse but she would only stick her nose out the hole and nothing else, i set up a viv by the hole last night with the mouse in it but my corn didnt take the bait, so ive got a live mouse in the tank now but the stubborn snake still wont come out! she is about 4ft in lenth and a naturally chunky female but id of thought she'd be hungry by now, there is a chance that she's been hibernating all winter as i live in in the UK but she is taking an intrest in the smell of food. I realy need help as i dont know what else to do. Hope to hear suggestions very soon, thanx

That's a tricky situation. Try sticking the mouse in front of the hole again and see if she will bite onto it. If she does, see if you can't get a hold on her and pull her out.

Good Luck
Mike
