General Question for Hybrid Breeders?

JohnRI May 18, 2009 09:18 PM

I was wondering when breeding a hybrids do you general use the larger species as the Female?

When incubating the eggs do you do a mix of normal temps for both species or do you go with the temps of the egg layer species?
Thank You any one for advice....

This is only my first year attempting to breed hybrids so take this with a grain of salt.

Without a strong number of snakes availiable to try a hybrid project with, I'm just going with what I've got as far as size for both sexes.

I'm planning on incubating the eggs as if they were the mother's full species.

Hopefully some others will chime in here as well and be able to help you out a bit better.

I've done it both ways and had success. I incubate all the eggs the same 80 to 82 degrees and always have a good hatch rate.
