So you really shouldn't have males and females together until the females are mature enough to lay? Well, I better go make separate sleeping arrangements for the boy . . . 
My female had eggs when she was two and I was very surprised as I thought they had to be three years of age.
Ripper laid 5 eggs at two years. Three of them were duds, though.
