Slept on basking spot

DMBfan May 22, 2009 05:19 AM

I suspect that my hatchling has a respiratory infection (see posts below). Last night I dropped her water down to 2 inches, tried to feed her cooked chicken while she was in a small bowl...she still didn't eat, I also tried some Reptomin, but she didn't eat that either. I just woke up to find her sleeping on her basking spot, the light was off. My other 9 year old never did this. Is this okay?

i have 4 res's. 2 females 10 and 2 males 9. over the years they've had a couple resp. propblems. the vets advice was to 1] raise the water temp to the high 70's. 2] don't stress them especially if they are young. 3] try to keep the water very clean. good luck...
