Question about veiled

Shadow4108 May 27, 2009 10:04 PM

I'm getting a new veiled, (first one) I bought a breeze cage, some vines, plants and UVB bulb/heat top and a dripper system. We usually drop our AC to about 74 at night. Is this too low? Also its about 77 durring the day. She will of course have a heat source when she is not outside in sunny florida. Any advice?

74 won't be too cold. Chams generally need at least a 10 degree temp drop at night. With the AC running you will need to watch the cage humidity and probably need to mist more or run a humidifier aimed at the cage. Don't trust the little analog humidity gauges from pet shops. They are not reliable!
