It looks like my Dumeril is still hungry now after eating a small rat and she looks like she's now a little bigger than the rats I'm feeding her so the question becomes. I've still got qite a few small rats that I don't really wanna waste (I don't have other snakes eating that size at the moment) so do I keep at 1 small rat a week untl I'm done or can I feed her 2 a week or maybe 2 every second week.

What do you guys think?

It seems that everyone uses a different feeding method these days.

IN MY OPINION, go ahead and give her the second rat. I wouldn't go beyond that, if she is used to being feed once a week.

I have my Dums on a every other week feeding schedule right now. They get 2 appropriate sized rats each, depending on rat availablility. My big breeder female generally gets 2 XL rats at a time. BUT, if the pet store doesn't have enough XL's, I will get her 3 mediums. I TRY to keep the weight of the food at each feeding consistent. It doesn't always work out though.

But like I said, everyone uses a different method. The best thing to do is use the method that works out best for you.
