Black and White Tegu Q's

kwe Jun 11, 2009 11:36 PM

I have two Argentine black and white tegus, a male and a female. I have heard there are different Argentine black and whites, my pair show no courting behavior like my reds and my female lays infertile eggs every season. Is this my case, here are some pics of them. As for the post below on comparing water monitors and tegus, the monitors seem very smart, but my tegus surprise me every once in a while, it might be like comparing cats and dogs, cats are considered smarter but I don't see it.

Nice pics.

Sometimes comparing the intelligence of different animal groups is like apples and oranges. Dogs and cats respond to different training methods and have different social needs. Therefore one may appear to be smarter than the other depending on what you are using to measure intelligence.
