My immature husband has decided that he'd rather have fun on his own than grow up, so the house is being sold and the divorce proceedings have begun.

I am having difficulties finding employment so I've made the very bold decision of having to go back to college to get myself a new career (MLT, a rapidly growing field). That's 3 years of really hard study. Hopefully, the government will see fit to provide me with money to continue this schooling.

Unfortunately, this is bad new for my uros. I don't have the room or the ability to keep them any longer. I must sell them both and their equipment as well. I really, really hate having to do this but I no longer have any choice.
I don't know if I'll ever have any uros in the future, but it's impossible to know that now.

I'm so sorry, Sunfox! I hope things go well for you in your new studies and you're able to find good homes for the critters.

It seems like a shame for you to have to part with your breeding pair of Mali's. I suggest you try your hardest to find a herp friendly buddy or family member who may be willing to "temporarily" house your uros and help with feeding and care until you can get back on your feet to take them on again. Maybe a local educational center that does herps? Maybe even a herper friend who won't mind doing it as long as they get the benefit of keeping and selling the babies until you can take them on again? Try anything, even if far fetched. I found you never can replace what you let go. You can always get another pair of uros easy enough, but they will never be the same as this pair. KEEP FIGHTING!!

Best of Luck

Sunfox,

I am so sorry to hear of your troubles. Perhaps there is some miracle that will come up and allow you to keep your animals. If not, I'm sure you will find wonderful homes for them. Take Care of yourself, there is light at the end of the divorce tunnel.

Sorry SunFox, sometimes life seems to throw us a curve that makes us feel like it's over. Been there, done that, on the divorce thing, many years ago. Thought life was all plotted out for me/him and our 2 kids, HA.... anyway kid, hang in there better days are coming and it will all seem like so many life times ago "REAL SOON".

Maybe God has brand new and wonderful plans for you , and a partner later down the road that will be a loyal and life-long mate.
Until then, stay calm, pray often, and take it one day at a time, it will all be good. Many people, friends/family members will help ya get through, don't be afraid or too proud to ask if you need help, later when things are better you may be able to help one of them.

Your critters will get a good home or foster home I'm sure. Keep us updated.
