Kofiau Chondros

greenecats Jun 21, 2009 07:41 PM

Hello everybody, Im new to the forums and im a potential owner of a GTP. After Weeks of research i have found that i would like to purchase a kofiau chondro. Their is very little information on them and was wandering if anyone on here has had experience with them and would like to share their experiences or information. I was also wandering about their temperment and the likelyness of them being yellow as adults.

There are a few captive born and bred Canaries out there. I would suggest that you buy a cbb animal rather than a farmed import. Their survival rates are higher. We are still learning about the Canaries. Some adults have stayed yellow, many change into a beautiful lime green and then change back, some stay that green. There's no telling what they'll do, and I don't know if anyone can give you a difinitive answer on whether yours will stay yellow or not. Expect to pay a bit for the snake though. They aren't the cheapest of the types since they still aren't common. I don't know what their temperaments are like. I don't have a canary and haven't heard one way or the other. I think my friend's were fairly docile, but I suspect it's like a lot of types, there are docile ones and ones that aren't.
