cage sizes for ATB

terrylove Jun 26, 2009 08:19 AM

I've been reading a lot about ATB and noticed they seem to accept being in smaller cages much better than different species of snake of similar lengths -ie. an 5' adult ATB is fine in a 2'x 2'x 2' cage while an equally sized burm, boa constrictor spp., even a corn snake would be cramped.

What would the cage size requirements be for a single ATB, a pair and a trio?

Anyone out there? I know there are keepers of amazons out there. What size cages do you keep adults in?

I like my females to be in 4x2x2 cages and males in 3x2x2. Right now, not all of my amazons are set up this way, but I am woriking toward it. Mating is done in 4x2x2 cages and females spend their pregnancy in them and it makes for plenty of thermoregulation room.
