New Arrival: What is it???

Rosebuds Jun 27, 2009 09:52 PM

I know that this is one of the eggs that my deceased white tank female laid, so it is half wt, and I thought it would be half sonoran, but now I wonder. Do yall think it is half eastern?? It sure has a bicintores head, and the legs and tail is more tan. This baby is nearly double the size of the eastern babies. Is it too early to tell?

I'm not sure what a sonoran X bicinctores would look like, but it doesn't look like a pure WT. I would say half eastern.
You should get a better idea as the lizard ages. Prety cool. Keep us posted. Congrats.

Cool little hatchling. It will be interesting to see it mature.

Thanks, yall. It is definitely different. I took a few more pics this am. I also hope to have some pure wt babies in a few months.

Here is the hybrid this am

Here it is with an eastern hatchling. You can definitely see the difference in heads!

I've seen a couple babies similar to that one at the White Tanks.
