This is my first GTP, I got this baby (aru type) 2 weeks ago, it consumed 2 pinkies last weekend, I'd like to ask for comment from the experienced:

1.)How's the tank setting of mine, pls comment for improvement.
2.) I spray to it once every morning and evening, is that enough?
3.) I've put a "mist-maker" in the tank which activates for 15 minutes at 7:00am and 11:30pm, any problem with that?
4.) Water condenses at the bottom of the tank, I soak the water away with a clean towel every 3to 4 days, should I do it more frequent?
5.) I tried to feed it this weekend, but it stranggled the pinky for 15 min and didn't eat it, I tried it with 3 different pinkies and it's still the same, what should I do?

Several things come to mind. Too large a perch for such a small animal. The perch should be as big around as the largest part of the body. Second. Reaaaalllly high humidity. While a baby needs a constant humidity, 100% is too high. 80% is fine and too high will cause problems. Third: The cage for all it's cover is open on all sides. It might make this baby feel a little too out there in the open. You don't mention how often you're feeding. If you fed two pinkies, then wait a week and feed again. If the baby refuses (could be due to it going into a shed cycle) then wait a week and try again. Is this baby an import or from a breeder. If it's an import (cb or farmed) there's a chance there will be parasites and that can put them off food too. I would go with the easiest first though. Possible shed impending. Many snakes won't eat thru the cycle. I would ditch the mister or reduce the amount of time it goes on. I personally prefer to hand mist as it gives me a chance to observe the animal and see if there's anything going on with it.

Yes, you were very right, it really did shed its skin last night, but the sign of "Blurry eye" before skin shedding didn't come as obvious as my other snakes.

I have made it another thinner perch and shall keep the hand mist twice a day.

I have put a thick towel at the bottom of the tank, which is easier to maintain the humidity around 80%, I can always twist and dry the towel a bit if it gets too wet and all soaked up.

I shall try feeding again this Saturday~ Thx for your help~

first that is not an aru i have never seen a red aru maybe its a cross but that is not a pure aru everything else seems fine and try putting it in a dark container with a live pinkie and wait about 15 - 20 mins.
