what is need for a springtail culture?

is charcoal the type that you put in a b-b-q grill?

I am ording some and just want to everything going before i get them

its just another variant you can add to the frogs diet, its a good idea to seed the tank with some before you introduce the frogs, that way there will be a reproducing population that your frogs can continuously feed off of.

there is a lot of ways to culture springs, charcoal works, so does dirt, sphagnum, peat, pretty much anything organic. you can feed them veggies, but they really relish mushrooms.
