Desert Iguana

hognose45 Jul 13, 2009 09:16 PM

My 2 year old female Desert Iguana laid 5 eggs this morning. I was wondering if anybody knew the incubation temperature and how many days it takes for the eggs to hatch. Please any previous experience will greatly be appreciated. I have a hova bator and according to Bert Langerwerf, he said it should be 90-93F for incubation.

I don't have any experience, but according to Melissa Kaplan, "Breeding is in April-June, with clutches of 2-8 eggs laid a month or so later, hatchlings emerging in July-August. Desert iguanas may double clutch." It seems that incubation would be approximately 60 days.
