how old will/can a male collared mate.
I think around 9 months or so. We've seen a couple examples of that on the forum this year. One male had brumated and the other had not.

Pancho started breeding at five months, at around eight inches or so. Breeding this year was not intended, because the females were only a few months older than him, but I thought they'd be safe to house together since they hadn't brumated. I do not know if the first batch of eggs were infertile or if I simnply screwed up on them, but I did get hatchlings this month that Pancho sired a bit later, when he was 6-7 months old.
