Mine are all hatched. I'll try to get pictures up as soon as I can. What about you Jerry and anyone else? Did anyone else produce agalma this year? It has been awfully quiet.
I purchased an adult pair from John Brekken last year. I produced some babies( I now have 5, two died.. another story), but I've yet to take pics. A couple of screamers! with reduced black and none on the side walls...but as luck goes I lost the best one. Only one is eating solidly, and I am now going to try to scent some pinks to see if it helps. At any rate, as soon as I get some pics I will post some. I have yet to do so, so it may take me a couple of trys?? We will see...
Hey Greg,
sorry to hear 'bout the loss. Z's can be toughies for sure sometimes.
Now........John Brekken......haven't heard that name in a looooong time. He was also trying to sell me some adults a few years ago, but I shyed away (that, too, is another story...). I wonder if they are the same ones. Let's see some pics, and maybe even troubleshoot so that maybe next year you won't lose any at all.

Agalma typically respond well to assisted feeding. If you pry their mouths open with the head of a frozen thawed pink, they will usually finish the job while you hold them.

that is, of course, that baby agalma is as stubborn as a mule and refuses. Then there's a busted pinky head with ooze all over the snake's face. If I see the bugger is stubborn, i use a business card to pry and then insert. And if THAT doesn't work, a pinky head through the pea shooter at 70mph into the lil' mother's gullet.......LOL.........

I thought you would have had some babies by now Jeff. Oh well, patience is very key with these guys.
Ya my female was a little small this year, so I decided to wait.
She's around 27 or 28 inches now and still eating good, so next year she should be ready to go. Hopefully if everythng goes right I'll get some babies.
Here's one from my next project.

LMAO......just kiddin' Jeff. How've you been man??? Your agalma are looking great.....of course! They're from Allen. Can't wait to see what next year brings for you. So what's doin' on the greeri thing?

The greeri thing, I dont know yet I'm barely starting to get this zonata thing down..I'll probably fatten it up and feed it to this guy.

Hi guys1
Don't know if I'm allowed in here or if I'm still banned out. Just thought that I'd write a few lines and tell you what's been going on over here.
I'm sorry to tell you that I have put my entire collection of agalma down. I tried hard for a long time to save them, but a few got so bad so I couldn't let them suffer anymore, and when only 4 of my gruop of 9 remained, I gave up and put them all down.
Two of them are still kept in the freezer. I'm trying to convince the two largest societies over here to sponsor me so that I can send them in for an autopsy. It's very expensive, about the equivalent of USD 300 each.
