mucosus and korros?

Jonasgn Aug 26, 2009 03:04 PM

Hey all
What´s the difference between Ptyas mucosus and Ptyas korros?
A friend of mine work in a zoo, and they have just hatched some eggs, from what we think is korros. But we are not sure, so can any of you tell me some of the differences, between the two species?
I´m a zookeeper myself, with a big interest in snakes and crocodiles, but can`t really see a significant difference between korros and mucosus on the sites i´ve found.
I really hope someone can help me and my friend out.

Thanks

Jonas

I don't know how you would tell the difference, but a quick wikipedea search gives different scale counts for either. I'm sure a local field book would have the answers as well.

I do want to see pics.
